Training Center

Founded on May 6, 2002, the IBA Training Center offers training in information technologies, business, and foreign languages to IBA employees, as well as other companies and individuals. Teachers working in the IBA Training Center are assistant professors, Ph. Ds, and certified trainers.

IT courses at the IBA Training Center cover IBM mainframe and Lotus technologies, Java and C programming languages, operating systems (Linux, Windows, Solaris, and Novell NetWare), ERP systems (SAP/R3), database software, network technologies, information security, integrated and global information systems, web technologies, Microsoft Office applications, computer graphics, and computer technical support.

Business training features business communication, marketing, personal efficiency (negotiation, stress management, time management, and public appearance skills), business process reengineering, and methods for finding new ideas and solutions. Foreign language courses comprise English, German, and French.

Annually, roughly 25 percent of IBA employees receive training in programming, marketing or computer and banking equipment at the IBA Training Center.

The IBA Training Center has long-term ties with leading Belarusian higher educational institutions. It invites university professors to teach computer science to IBA employees, while IBA trainers lecture university students in IT subjects. Since 2004, the IBA Training Center has been sponsoring the Belarusian national contest in informatics among students of colleges, vocational schools, and special technical institutions. The Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus has sent a letter to thank the IBA Training Center for contribution in the development of the national educational system.

Cisco Network Academy

A regional Cisco Network Academy opened at the IBA Training Center in 2008. As a result, the IBA Training Center was authorized to train and certify IT specialists and teachers, as well as set up local Cisco academies.

Attendees at the Cisco Network Academy are able to take a 280-hour course in CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate). Students can acquire skills in building and administering of internet networks, installing and configuring of Cisco switchboards and routers in multi-protocol networks with LANs and WANs, identifying and fixing of bugs, and increasing of network performance and security.

It is projected that in early 2009 the Cisco Network Academy at the IBA Training Center will launch training within the CCNP (Cisco Certified Networking Professional) program. Afterwards, students will be offered the following courses:

  • CCSP — Cisco Certified Security Professional
  • CCDP — Cisco Certified Design Professional
  • CCVP — Cisco Certified Voice Professional

The Cisco Network Academy program is underway in 168 countries. To date, more than 2,000,000 students completed training at 11,000 academies across the globe.

Sun Microsystems Authorized Center

In April 2008, Sun Microsystems authorized the IBA Training Center to provide courses on Sun technologies and software products. Trainees receive a unique opportunity to undergo training on a variety of subjects in Java and Solaris. One more course became available after the authorization, namely OO–226 "Object–Oriented Analysis and Design Using UML". The course is intended for designers and developers of object–oriented software using UML programming language. The training is conducted by instructors who have extensive practical and pedagogical experience, and are accredited by Sun Microsystems.

Graduates receive manuals produced by Sun Microsystems and Sun Microsystems certificates.

IBM-Authorized Training Center

In August 2008, IBM  authorized the IBA Training Center  as its Business Partner in training.

Since then, IBA has successfully conducted authorized courses in

  • System administration in Lotus Domino 7
  • IBM WebSphere MQ V6.0. Programming Using Base Classes for Java.

Advantages:

  • The IBM–developed program of the course
  • IBM–developed teaching aids
  • IBM–certified teachers.

In addition, the course prepares the students for certification examinations.

Prometric and Pearson VUE–Authorized Testing Center

In addition, a testing center authorized by Prometric and Pearson VUE, world leaders in technologies for computer testing of skills and knowledge, is functioning at the IBA Training Center. Therefore, the IBA Training Center provides a full cycle of education, from authorized training to testing and certification.
