IBA Congratulates BSU's Faculty of Mathematics And Mechanics
In October 2008, the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of the Belarusian State University (BSU) celebrated its 50th anniversary. As a present to the faculty's memorable date, IBA rendered financial assistance in publishing the book “Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics. Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow. To The 50th Anniversary”.
For an extended period of time and within its program of cooperation with higher educational institutions, IBA has been closely interacting with a number of leading Belarusian Universities. IBA maintains long–term partner relations with the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of the BSU. IBA attach high importance to that relationship as the faculty trains students in programming specialities.
Commenting on the event, Ivan Vrublevski, IBA HR Director says: “We all were students once, and we can still remember how important it was during the years of apprenticeship to apply theoretical knowledge in practice and to work on solving problems together with experts in real–life environment”. He adds: “IBA offers that kind of opportunity to students. We conduct seminars and specialized courses at universities, and organize traineeships at IBA. A number of the faculty's former students are today IBA's key experts. The book published on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the BSU's Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics is an important contribution to preserving its traditions. In addition, the book contains the history of the faculty's development, and the chronicle of its employees' scientific achievements.”
