Background
IBA was founded in 1993 as a software development company by IBM Corp. and the two leading Belarusian IT enterprises: the Computer Research Institute (NIIEVM) and the Minsk Computer Production Association (MPOVT). In 1999, IBM withdrew as a part owner of IBA, however, remains a strategic business partner. The small company eventually evolved into an international group.
