Corporate Computing Center and IBM TotalStorage Solution Center

The IBA Computing Center offers a broad range of services including computing operations in operator mode, testing of customer or third party solutions, training of customer personnel, and rental of software and hardware facilities with remote customer access. In June 2003, IBA was appointed as IBM TotalStorage™ Solution Center (TSSC), an authorized center for integrated IBM data storage solutions. We became the 8th company in the region that covers Central Europe, Middle East and Africa (54 countries) to receive the high IBM TSSC status. As a result, we are able to provide services and solutions based on IBM storage systems and IBM and Tivoli software products.

The IBA Computing Center is equipped with powerful data processing systems.

1. Newest IBM zSeries generation z800 server
   

   Users can work with the following operating systems: z/OS, z/VM, OS/390, and SuSE Linux Enterprise Server for S/390.

2. S/390 IBM9672 R15 architecture server is a parallel enterprise server of S/390 architecture.

   Users can work with different versions of OS/390 and VM/ESA-compatible systems. Linux Marist and SuSE for S/390 are loaded either in a separate logical partition or in VM environment.

   Users can access different software products, including DB2, IBM WebSphere Application Server and Apache Web Server, IBM Java 2, Tivoli Storage Manager, MySql Database, Samba File Server, KDE, Perl, and Sendmail.

3. Integrated IBM IS/390 server

   Users are provided with IBM VM/ESA-compatible, Linux Marist, and Linux SuSE operating systems. They can also access the following products:

   • Assembler, FORTRAN, Cobol, C, and PL/1 programming systems
   • TCP/IP, ACF/VTAM, TSAF, RSCS, PVM, GCS, and AVS networking tools
   • RACF, DB/2, ADABAS, ORACLE, QMF, GDDM, AS, RTM, and PRF packages.
