15th Anniversary of IBA Group

Address by IBA President Sergei Levteev

In April 2008, we celebrate the 15th anniversary of IBA foundation. It is an important date for our business and a good cause to strike a balance: to analyze the company's progress and to think on what can be improved.

The IBA's 15th anniversary is a significant date for the company's employees and for the whole Belarusian IT industry because IBA is one of the first and the largest Belarusian IT companies. The IBA's history is deeply intertwined with the history of the national IT sector. IBA is one of a few companies that managed to preserve and strengthen semi-centennial traditions of the Belarusian computer school, and to combine them with the best up-to-date practice from abroad.

In 1993, IBA was founded by IBM Corp. and the two leading Belarusian IT enterprises: the Computer Research Institute (NIIEVM) and the Minsk Computer Production Association (MPOVT). Today, being the leading development center of IBA Group, a well-known European IT service provider, IBA is strengthening reputation of the Belarusian IT industry.

At IBA, we develop programs and high-tech equipment. The quality of IBA products and services meets the highest international standards. IBA possesses vast experience in the implementation of large-scale projects for IT leaders and companies of global renown across five continents. The company would not be able to achieve success without its employees who are indeed the IBA's basic capital.

Today IBA fosters development of the Belarusian economy by creating more workplaces and providing cutting-edge products and services. The company actively invests in education and in social programs. Namely, IBA sponsors national and international contests for schoolchildren and students, creates laboratories in the leading Belarusian universities, and conducts internships for students.

In the long term, IBA plans to retain leadership in Belarus, to expand its presence in Russia and other CIS countries, and to strengthen its positions worldwide. These are not just plans driven by too much ambition but a well-grounded confidence in future.

Thank you, my dear colleagues, for your dedicated work and your allegiance to our common cause. I believe that together we are creating a worthy future for ourselves, our children and our country.
